Marseille is buried in the stuff and will spend a half million euros just to clean itself up. Naples seems perpetually to be swimming in it and we need to look at this issue from a Mediterranean perspective, and look for creative ways in which the media can play a more informative and constructive role in reporing about these issues and bringing information and perspectives to an interested public.
