"EU to promote gender equality in Mediterranean countries"
This would make for an excellent seminar with the media of the region.
"Google Earth Goes Deep With Ocean Simulations" - NYTimes.com
I look forward to what this will show us all "under" the Mediterranean!

"Israel Lets Reporters See Devastated Gaza Site and Image of a Confident Military" - NYTimes.com
The world cannot get to the truth of what is going on through Israeli public relation tours. The proper journalistic response is to believe nothing either side says in this matter and to do the onsite investigation independently.

"Nicolas Sarkozy : "Je crois beaucoup au MuCem""
A new museum of the Mediterranean is to open in several years in Marseille.

"Israel Charges Palestinian Reporters on Gaza Story" - NYTimes.com
Telling the truth should never be a crime anywhere.

"All Roads May Lead Here, but They Aren’t Bringing Big Spenders" - NYTimes.com

"Few in U.S. See Jazeera’s Coverage of Gaza War" - NYTimes.com
We can never have too many sources of information about important news nor too many different perspectives. It's a shame that more people don't appreciate this......

"Israel Puts Media Clamp on Gaza" - NYTimes.com
In this context, sadly, I can assume only the worst if I cannot see it for myself. If Israel has nothing to hide, it should let us all see. It's a very simple proposition.
"A House in Fez: Building a Life in the Ancient Heart of Morocco" - Borders - Books, Music and Movies
There are wonderful stories to be told by the media of the Mediterranean about housing and renovations, both for the people of each country, and for others, all around the basin.
"Nice Premium - 5 janvier 2009 : la fin de la publicité sur France Télévisions"
This is having a large impact on the French media scene. Adjusting a country's evening television schedule by even a few minutes can cause a lot more toilets to flush at unexpected times and either more or less news to be consumed by viewers.
"Corez wine bar will uncork Mediterranean atmosphere" - The Grand Rapids Press
To the extent that someone in another part of the world is doing something in the name of the Mediterranean, I think the media of the Mediterranean ought to be paying more attention and making the link that the internet permits both to stories and to people and places.....like this new restaurant and its owners.
"Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News" - Biotechnology from Bench to Business
The media of the Mediterranean ought to be the primary reporters on all developments related to health in their region. I don't believe they are now......
"The Perrin Post Travel Blog: Travel Advice and Vacation Tips From Condé Nast Traveler on Concierge.com"
Why should the Mediterranean media leave it to other media to cover cruises and cruise planning on the Mediterranean Sea? I believe they can take back this role and rightfully so......
"ABCNews.com Takes a Look at the Best and the Worst New Year's Diet Searches" - abc13.com
The section here dealing with the Mediterranean diet contains astonishing numbers on obesity in the US compared with France and Italy. The media of the Mediterranean ought to be telling more of this story themselves!
"Fit to eat" - Columbian.com
Mediterranean media would be well-served if they worked harder for local and distance audiences to recapture their own Mediterranean cuisine instead of allowing everyone else to steal it without compensation or even calories!
"France Telecom completes repairs to Mediterranean cables" - Telecompaper
These cables are important for the region as well as the rest of the world that depends on them.

"Mediterranean journeys, minus airline food"
Food continues to be a tremendous unifying force in the Mediterranean, and a great reason for media in the region to connect with one another.
